Privacy policy

This policy explains what information is collected when you visit sonalrastogi.com (“the site”), why, and what you can do about it. The site is run by Sonal Rastogi (“I”, “me”). If anything here is unclear, write to hello@sonalrastogi.com.

The short version

• There are no accounts, sign-ups or forms on this site.
• I use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read.
• If you email me, I use your email only to reply and to work with you.
• I don’t sell your data, and I don’t use it for advertising.

What is collected

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics to understand traffic. When you visit, Google Analytics records things like the pages you view, how you arrived (for example, from a search or a link), your device and browser type, and your approximate location (city or country, worked out from your IP address). I see this as aggregated reports, not as information that identifies you personally.

Emails you send me

If you write to hello@sonalrastogi.com, I receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. I use it to reply, to discuss and deliver work you’ve asked for, and to keep a record of our conversation.

Hosting logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical details of each request, such as your IP address and browser, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.

Cookies

The site itself doesn’t set cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) to tell new visits from returning ones.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you’ll be asked first, and Analytics cookies are only set if you accept. Your choice is saved in your browser; you can change it any time in cookie settings.

Wherever you are, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works the same either way.

Services the site relies on

These providers may process data such as your IP address when you use the site. Each handles it under its own privacy policy.

• Google Analytics — visitor statistics.
• Google Fonts — the site’s typefaces.
• Cloudflare — hosting, email forwarding for hello@, and some page scripts (cdnjs).
• unpkg — the smooth-scrolling script.
• Gmail — emails to hello@ are delivered to and answered from a Gmail inbox.

Template purchases and other sites

Templates aren’t sold on this site. Free templates are downloaded from the Framer Marketplace, paid templates are bought through Contra, and live demos run on Framer. Those services handle your details, including payment, under their own policies; I don’t receive your card information. Links to X (Twitter) and LinkedIn also take you to sites with their own policies.

How long data is kept

Google Analytics keeps visit data for a limited period set in my account, after which Google deletes it. Emails are kept for as long as they’re useful for our conversation or project, or as long as records need to be kept for tax and legal reasons.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Email hello@sonalrastogi.com and I’ll respond within 30 days.

Children

The site is meant for adults looking for design work and templates. It isn’t aimed at children, and I don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If how the site handles data changes, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
